Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and NP Co.™ Need A Plumber. By scheduling service, accepting a written estimate, allowing our technicians onto your property, or making a payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms apply to all residential and commercial plumbing services performed by NP Co.™ throughout New York City.
Services & Scope of Work
NP Co.™ provides licensed plumbing services including emergency plumbing, drain cleaning, leak detection and repair, water heater installation and repair, pipe repair and replacement, bathroom and kitchen plumbing, sewer line services, water filtration installation, gas line services, and sump pump services.
Scope Agreement: All work will be performed as described in the written estimate. Additional work discovered during a job requires your verbal or written authorization before proceeding.
We reserve the right to decline or stop work if conditions make safe or code-compliant work impossible.
Estimates & Pricing
We use flat-rate pricing on all jobs. The price quoted in your written estimate is the price you pay, provided scope does not change. We do not bill by the hour.
Free Estimates: We provide free written estimates for all non-emergency jobs. Estimates are valid for 30 days from date of issue.
Emergency Service: Emergency calls are priced at our standard flat rates. We do not charge overtime surcharges for nights, weekends, or holidays.
Payment Terms
Payment in full is due upon completion of service. For larger projects (generally over $2,500), we may require up to 50% deposit before work begins.
Accepted Methods: Cash, personal and business checks, all major credit and debit cards, Zelle, and bank transfer.
Late Payments: Invoices not paid within 30 days are subject to 1.5% per month (18% annually) on the outstanding balance.
Scheduling & Cancellations
On-Time Guarantee: If we are late to a scheduled appointment without prior notice, we will waive the service call fee.
Customer Cancellations: Cancel or reschedule at no charge with at least 4 hours notice. Cancellations under 4 hours may be subject to a fee up to $75.
No-Access: If our technician arrives and cannot access the property or is turned away, a trip charge may apply.
Warranty & Guarantee
All workmanship performed by NP Co.™ is warranted for one (1) year from the date of service completion.
Warranty Exclusions: Damage from misuse or unauthorized modification; failures from pre-existing conditions; normal wear and tear; damage from events outside our control; customer-supplied parts (labor warranty still applies).
Warranty Claims: Contact us within the warranty period. We schedule return visits within 2 business days for non-emergency warranty issues.
Limitation of Liability
NP Co.™'s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for damage caused by pre-existing plumbing defects or concealed conditions that we could not reasonably have discovered.
Property Damage Claims must be reported within 48 hours of service completion.
Access & Property
You are responsible for providing safe, unobstructed access to the work area. We are not responsible for damage to items left in the work area that obstruct access.
For apartments and condos, it is your responsibility to coordinate building access, elevator reservations, and required management approvals before our technician arrives.
Permits & Code Compliance
All plumbing work complies with the NYC Plumbing Code and applicable NYC Administrative Code. Where a permit is required, we obtain it as part of the job. NYC permit fees will be itemized in your written estimate.
Customer-Supplied Materials
We will install customer-supplied fixtures subject to: (1) compatibility with your existing plumbing; (2) the fixture being new or in good working condition; (3) our 1-year labor warranty applies to installation but not the fixture itself.
Emergency Services
For emergency calls, we target arrival within 60 minutes. Response times may be longer during severe weather or unusually high demand. For gas emergencies: leave the building immediately, call your gas utility or 311 from outside, then call us after the gas supply is shut off.

Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of New York State. Any legal proceedings shall be brought exclusively in New York County courts.
Arbitration: For disputes under $5,000, both parties agree to first attempt binding arbitration under AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules.
Privacy & Data Use
We collect your personal information solely to provide services and communicate about appointments and invoices. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties except as required to perform our services or by law.
Changes to These Terms
NP Co.™ reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted at needaplumberco.com/terms with the revision date noted. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
